Words from the bride:
“I was so excited to put on my dress and get ready for the bridal portraits. While I tried the dress on a few times at my various fittings, this was the first time that I tried it on with the veil, shoes, and everything else. To say the least – I definitely felt like a bride! I’m not sure how it was possible, but it made me even more excited for the wedding.
When the session started, I was more than a little nervous. I had never really had my pictures professionally taken and I didn’t really know what to expect. I shouldn’t have worried as I ended up having the best time! Adria immediately put me at ease and kindly explained what I should be doing and how to pose. Between her and my parents (who also came to the portrait session), I spent most of the session laughing and truly enjoying myself
Looking back, I am so grateful for the opportunity to essentially have a “dress rehearsal” of sorts before the big day. I was able to make sure that I was comfortable with everything from my dress to my bouquet. Even though we had met before, it also gave me a chance to get more comfortable with Adria and to practice getting my picture professionally taken. After seeing how beautifully the bridal portraits came out, I had absolutely zero stress in regards to my day-of look or how the wedding pictures would turn out!
While I was hesitant to get bridal portraits at the beginning (they seemed a bit excessive to me), I think they are the best thing a bride can do! Not only did it give me piece of mind when it came to my day of look, the portraits also captured a lot of the details of my dress that I loved so much but that I wasn’t focused on the day of the wedding.” -Madeleine
