Courtney + Todd

February 9, 2017

Courtney Lange and Todd Harris have their dear friend, Seth Parker to thank for bringing them together.  Courtney met Seth on a Fourth of July trip to Destin and kept in touch through the years until Courtney decided to make the move to Dallas chasing a new job and big dreams.  Seth welcomed Courtney to her new home by showing her the lay of the land and introducing her to his friends which conveniently included Todd.  On a spring night in 2014 Seth arranged a dinner at Gloria’s in Uptown where Courtney and Todd would meet. After good food, drinks, and laughs the tab came to the table of 14 and payment was left up to a friendly game of “Credit Card Roulette” . Unluckily, Todd would draw the short straw and pick up the check for the table…little did he know his luck would change catching the attention of the new pretty girl at the table that would later become his wife.
After 18 months of dating, the two decided to ring in the New Year in Maui with two of their best friends in tow for part of a two week trip.  After landing in Maui mid afternoon on New Years eve Todd urged Courtney to push through taking a nap to go catch the sunset on the beach.  Unbeknownst to Courtney Todd handed the camera to his best friend Shane and told him to give them a 5 minute head start.  It was on the beach that first day in Maui at sunset Todd dropped to one knee and asked Courtney to marry him and the best New Years celebration of both their lives continued through the night.
Back on the mainland after an amazing two weeks on the islands the planning began.  Courtney known for traditional, classic taste did not waiver when it came to planning her wedding.  All black and white quickly became the theme of the wedding.  Advice from friends and lots of Internet research later venues and vendors were booked.
The two wed at Munger Place Church on September 30, 2016, followed by a reception at the Room on Main in Downtown Dallas.  Courtney is very decisive and quick to make decisions while Todd likes to weigh out many options before making up his mind but after walking in to the Room on Main both of them knew it was the location for the reception.  The Room on Main fit perfectly with the vision Courtney had in mind.   They fell in love with the understate elegance of the floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors and beautiful chandeliers.  The Room had a perfect layout for the flow of the evening.
One of Courtney’s most favorite moments was the first look where she and Todd got to spend some one on one time taking pictures alone.  It was a special moment that helped melt away all of the nerves that come with the big day and some amazing photos were captured.  The other favorite part of the day for the couple was dancing the night away to the amazing band with all of our friends and family.
