The Miller Affect Wedding Trip to Canada

I’m so excited to share some of our trip to Banff, Canada for my sisters wedding! Colt and I went a week early so that we could explore and spend some fun, quality time together! It was SO worth it. This was the first time that we got to spend time with just the three of us since Emberlynn’s adoption. We have 2 other foster kids in our home and while we love them to death, we were longing for some one on one time and I tried to capture some of the special moments.

As a wedding photographer for 10 years now, I have really grown fond of shooting destination weddings. We probably spent the majority of the week scouting locations for my sister’s first look. There were so many things I was looking for including scenery, position of the sun, accessibility, and how crowded the area was with tourists. 

We spent some time kayaking on Lake Moraine and I didn’t even know that water could be THAT blue!!! Whew! Emmy was such a trooper the entire trip and really soaked it all in (she didn’t even make a peep on the flight-her first ever)! All of the adventure led up to us sharing in the marriage of Amanda and Troy with the most gorgeous wedding in the mountains! I cannot wait to share the wedding with you, and I promise it will happen soon!!
